Sashikanta Mishra

Sashikanta Mishra was born and raised in Bhubanewar. He holds a Masters degree in Economics and a degree in law. He is a bilingual writer who writes short stories in both Odia and English. His first book, ‘The Great Masters of Kriyayoga’ (A collection of biographies) was published in 2003. He is the author of two anthologies of Odia short stories – ‘Bula Kukura’ (2015) and ‘Mati Mahaka’ (2017). Besides, his non-fiction articles have appeared in Indian Express and short stories in online magazines like ‘Out of Print’ and ‘Muse India’. He is also a blogger. His first English anthology of short stories titled ‘Deerskin’ is presently in print. He is a senior member of the Odisha state judiciary and lives in Cuttack with his family.
